Администрацию Белого дома накрыла волна прощальной активности. Надо успеть ввести новые санкции в отношении большего числа российских и китайских компаний. Под раздачу попали и органы исполнительной власти, что само по себе глупо, поскольку они в любой стране создаются для управления государством, а не для коммерческой деятельности. Следуя этой ущербной логике, нашим странам нужно наказать Госдеп и вообще приостановить внешние связи с американцами. ...А вообще, эти бездоказательные ограничения просто блокируют международный товарообмен и свободу торговли, устраняют возможных конкурентов. И это явно не имеет отношения ни к внутренним проблемам развития США, ни к мнимым угрозам со стороны России и Китая. По сути, это злоупотребление понятием «национальная безопасность» в угоду той части американского политистеблишмента, который зарабатывает очки на раздувании в США русофобии и синофобии.
Создатели нового санкционного списка объединили российские и китайские компании и ведомства в единый перечень. Это весьма показательно. Ведь именно Москва и Пекин выступают за полную отмену санкционных механизмов в период общей борьбы с коронавирусом. Но, видимо, борьба с COVID-19 не является приоритетом американских властей. Важнее публично понажимать на клавиатуру любимой санкционной политики. Причём напоследок затвердить повестку дня новой администрации. Ну, а внешние санкции... Их влияние на изменение политики России и Китая известно. Оно стремится к нулю.

A wave of farewell activity hit the White House Administration. It is in a hectic rush to impose sanctions on still more Russian and Chinese companies. The executive authorities were swiped as well, which is stupid because, in any country, they are created to govern the state and not to run commerce. Following this flawed logic, our countries would have to punish the US State Department and totally freeze all the external relations with the Americans. In fact, these baseless limitations simply block the international commodity exchange and freedom of trade and eliminate the possible competition. Obviously, it has nothing to do with either the US internal development problems, or the imaginary threats emanating from Russia and China. In essence, it is abusing the “national security” notion to appease the part of the American political establishment that scores on fanning Russophobia and Sinophobia in the US.
The new sanction list makers have included the Russian and Chinese companies and authorities into a single listing. It is very telling. After all, Moscow and Beijing stand for the total lifting of sanctions in the period of the global fight against the coronavirus. But, it seems, the fight against COVID-19 is not the priority for the American authorities. For them, it is far more important to press their favorite keypad of the sanction policy. And, in a farewell bid, to cement the agenda for the new Administration. As for the external sanctions… their effect on changing Russia and China's policy is well known. It is next to none.
