On February 24, 2023, in Los Angeles, Ambassador Makunts met Eleni Kounalakis, Lieutenant Governor of the state of California.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the deepening of cooperation within the framework of the California-Armenia Agreement, the recent manifestations of xenophobia in California, as well as the involvement of the Armenian community in the life of the State. The parties also discussed the security situation in the South Caucasus region, the blockade of the Lachin Corridor and the resulting humanitarian crisis.
The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the spheres of economy and trade.
