Sometimes there are just no words to adequately describe our feelings... :(

Halsey is a beautiful 4-month-old pup who was a victim of brutal violence. We can't share other details, due to active, open investigation. Her abuser left her with multiple skull fractures, a broken jaw, multiple broken ribs, and a badly broken forearm. And she sat like this for days, with no help or pain relief, before she was found & rescued.

Today she had surgery to try to save her leg, but infec...tion has already set in so we're not sure if it will be successful. She also had a feeding tube placed, so we can get her nutrition while her broken jaw has time to heal. Her other broken bones we are hoping will heal with time, good nutrition, and all the piles and piles of love we can't wait to show her.
