Because of the recent comments from Robert Regan who is a candidate for the open 74th House of Representatives seat that represents Walker as part of its district, I feel compelled to share my disgust at his ongoing comments and attempts to justify them. His thoughts and words continue to be despicable and appalling and are worsening by the day.
As a husband and father of a daughter, his most recent statement about sexual assault on a female defy comprehension and should be ...condemned by all. At minimum, an immediate public apology, not continued excuses is needed.
Candidate Regan’s comments do not represent our community in any way, and there can be no acceptance for his statements or beliefs anywhere in our communities. I thought I would never utter the words to someone from outside of our community: Mr. Regan, your beliefs and your recently declared ‘move into our city’ are not welcome. You need to move on so our city can heal from the repulsive divisiveness you brought in.
