I wanted to get this out before Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for, my friends, family, mom, support group (you guys), my beautiful fiancé, but this year I'm extremely grateful for someone i never had the pleasure of meeting and I want to take this time to tell you about him. His name is Chris, why am I telling you about him? Well you see the arms that are attached to me those used to be his. Chris was born in Hawaii in 1989 he was born with a congenital brain inj…ury called porencephaly which is rare and causes a cyst in the brain and its secondary effects cause blindness, autism, and seizures. Even with all this against he was keenly interested in cars and could remember all the information on every model. He also loved music by the age of 5 he was playing Beethoven on the piano and shortly after Ozzy Osbourne on the guitar. On August 16th Chris was not feeling well so he decided to go lay down but unfortunately never got up he suffered from a massive cerebral hemorrhage which the doctor said is devastating and he would never recover from. The next day his parents were told on their 20th anniversary that their loving son was pronounced brain-dead. Not only did Chris donate his arms but also his heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys skin tissue and corneas. He saved at least four people lives and improved a lot more. I will cherish him his life and his gift till the day I die.
