I went to the store this afternoon and was alarmed by the lack of physical and social distancing exhibited by people doing their shopping.

COVID-19 is spread through respiratory droplets and can infect people through close personal contact, touching a surface with the virus and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes, or through the air by coughing or sneezing. And it’s unclear who is a carrier and who is going to get sick.

COVID-19 is 10x more deadly than the flu -- and it is upon all of us to do our part to take the necessary precautions to avoid community spread. Please, whenever possible, stay home. And if you do need to go to the store for essentials, take precautions to limit your exposure to other shoppers and the staff. Social and physical distancing is difficult, but it is the best way to stop the spread of COVID- 19.
