Since when does being a school principal prevent you from stating that the Holocaust was a factual, historical event?

I have just returned from a trip to Poland. My wife Tracy and I visited Auschwitz and Birkenau, saw the gas chambers, saw the ovens, and witnessed the horrible death camps.

There are certain things in this world that are indisputably factual. First, the Holocaust happened. 6 million Jews and loads of others including Catholics, people with disabilities, ... and members of the LGBTQ community, were brutally murdered. The truth of their experience is written on the faces of the survivors and etched into the hearts of those who lost mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and friends.

Second, slavery was an abomination and a stain on the Constitution. It’s the inevitable end was paid for in blood sweat and tears.

Third, William Latson is unfit to educate our children and must be terminated immediately. He is either demonstrably incompetent or a holocaust denier. Whichever he chooses to be, one thing is certain,
neither of those options should be in a position to shape young minds

Palm Beach County school district's reassignment did not go far enough. Mr. Latson should have been fired. Hate and the denial of its most disgusting manifestation have no place in our schools, has no place in our government, and no place in our lives.
