The streets worldwide are empty, people are at home under the stress of a rapidly spreading pandemic that seems to have stopped the world. While in coronavirus lockdown yesterday morning, the citizens of Zagreb had a brutal awakening by a 5.3-magnitude earthquake. The city center and hospitals saw substantial damage. The seismic activity continued throughout the day and we just felt another shake. In times like these, people need one another more than ever but are instructed ...to keep the physical distance. We recall a recent wonderful drive through Zagreb, hoping to see life back on these streets soon, and our city renewed in its charm once again. To our fellow citizens - thank you to everyone fighting the virus outbreak and to those making our hometown a safer place. Stay strong, let’s take care of each other.
