There is a post on Facebook featuring a racist incident which occurred in our city.

I am embarrassed to learn that this incident happened in Lethbridge. We are working hard to address racism and bigotry but can not prevent ignorance and the hostile behaviour of individuals. Most Lethbridge citizens are proud of our reputation as a city that welcomes immigrants and refugees. Our story has been told on CBC and CNN. Each month I personally attend the meetings of the Lethbridge I...mmigration Partnership to support the great work that they do. Yesterday, I and members of city council attended the official opening of newly constructed Lethbridge Family Services building expansion. LFS plays a leading role in immigrant settlement and support. My congratulations to our Ismaili Muslim community are on social media this week. They have had a mosque in our city for 40 years. The Islamic Centre opens in Lethbridge this Saturday. Our multi-cultural centre is now in its second year of operation.
