In March of 2020, a sailor on the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt was identified as having SARSCoV-2 infection. Over the next several weeks, 1271 crew members (27% of the crew) tested positive, the majority of whom (77%) had no symptoms at the time of laboratory diagnosis. Twenty-three crew members were hospitalized, and 1 died.
