On 07/19/2017, at approximately 11:00 pm, an officer was travelling eastbound on Mendon St. near W. River Rd. when someone shot at the cruiser with was what believed to be an air powered rifle or pistol. Luckily, the shot missed, probably because he was holding the gun sideways. He then ran off like a scared little child when he saw the officer turn around. Unfortunately, an area search was negative for the suspect, whom is probably now tucked in nicely, covered up by his elmo blankey. Furthermore, there has been an increasing number of these types of incidents in Uxbridge and surrounding towns involving people and air guns being used in drive by style shootings of people and property.
