سنة جديدة، موقع تجريبي جديد!🌱
أنهت جمعية وادي بالتعاون مع المركز الدولي للبحوث الزراعية في المناطق الجافة (إيكاردا) والحديقة النباتية الملكية ، تحضير الموقع التجريبي الجديد في موقع الحديقة في منطقة تل الرمان حيث يتراوح معدل الهطول المطري السنوي فيها حوالي 300ملم ؛ والهدف من انشاء هذا الموقع هو تركيب أجهزة استشعار عن بعد لقياس التأثيرالمحتمل لممارسات استعادة الأنظمة الطبيعية من خلال تقنيات الحصاد المائي وزراعة غراس أنواع الغابات كالصنوبر الحلبي، الخروب و البطم على مخزون المياه... الجوفية . وسوف تستخدم المعلومات الناتجة عن دراسة هذا الموقع لتحسين إستعادة النظم البيئية للغابات في المناطق المشابهة في الأردن.

New year, new pilot site!🌱
WADI in cooperation with International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas - ICARDA and the Royal Botanic Garden completed work on a new pilot site located at the Royal Botanic Garden at Tal Al-Rumman area, which has an average annual rainfall of 300 mm; the purpose of this site is to install remote sensors to measure the potential effect of ecosystem restoration activities such as water harvesting techniques and planting tree seedlings of Aleppo Pine, Carob, and Pistacia on ground water recharge. The results obtained from the pilot site will be used to improve forest ecosystems restoration in similar parts of Jordan.
