NO FLY ZONE OVER UKRAINE !
Ukraine is in a position where it must continue to ask for a no fly zone in order to receive any help. This includes fighter jets, ammunition, first aid, etc. Our gesture was in fact self aware in its futility. Paper planes are like dreams and do not cause harm. We wanted people to be aware of what’s happening by sharing the information about the nuclear reactors, the Russian oligarch on the Guggenheim board who was on Putin’s cabinet and to direct …them to resources where they could help in our flyer. All those who participated in the gesture have family and loved ones currently in Ukraine who are fighting to survive the endless and brutal attacks by Putin’s forces.
We, New York based artists and cultural workers are calling for a NO FLY ZONE OVER UKRAINE and for the end of Russia’s war on Ukraine. We want to bring attention to the Russian targeting of nuclear power plants and are calling for the prevention of a world wide nuclear and humanitarian catastrophe!
