I should have posted the whole story when asking for prayers because now my phone is blowing up. Thank you guys for loving us enough to be worried about us.
Monday afternoon Ricky Rutherford came home running 103 fever and his legs hurting. He thought it was just leg cramps from working in the heat. Y’all know how stubborn he is and devoted to his work he went to work on Tuesday. He come home running a fever again and could barely walk. When he undressed he found his leg ...was red and swollen. We immediately went to the ER last night and they told us it was cellulitis possibly contracted from our kayaking trip Saturday and treated him with iv antibiotics and sent him home with two more. They told him if there was any change to come back. We woke up at 6:30 this morning with him running 105 temperature and it spreading quickly so we headed back to the ER. They then suspected flesh eating bacteria but ran some test and as of right now it is not but they admitted him to treat him aggressively hoping they can stop it from progressing anymore. It’s a possibility he will have to have surgery if they can’t stop it from getting any worse. The first picture was taken at the ER Tuesday night and the second was at 6:30 this morning. The third is now! Please pray pray pray! I love this man with everything in me and I need him well!
