I’m working here in Galena for the week, I just happened to witness one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in a village. Community members just met a flight with a suspected drug dealer onboard, they rallied concerned members of the village, boarded the plane to tell them they are not welcome in their town and to stay onboard and head back to Fairbanks! Everyone passed the hat, put money in and paid their ticket back to town! It really was a awesome gathering! Now this is w…hat it’s gonna take to protect our villages and stand up for our children!!! They are leading by example, now we all need to follow and do the exact same thing to everyone who are dealing and bootlegging! Profiting off of our people and getting our children addicted. It’s gonna take the community to stand together and tell these people to stay the hell out of our towns!! Everyone goes to meetings after meetings, saying the right words but don’t walk their talk. We all know whose selling and bootlegging but no one speaks up. We will continue to bury our children unless we stand up, work together and support each other in efforts like this. It’s not a secret whose dealing, we all know. Please, spread the word Galena is not gonna put up with allowing dealers in their community and especially this week end for the memorial potlach for our loved ones! Kudos to the community of Galena, I am proud of you!
