Joe Robinson update
I have spoken to the Foreign Office to get the latest on Joe Robinson. This is what they have said.
Joe is in Turkey on bail. He’s been staying with his girlfriend’s family who have a house in Turkey. He has not been in touch very much since Christmas.
...Authorities in Turkey have asked for Joe’s criminal record to be produced. This has been done by the FCO through the Mutual Assistance scheme, where it can be traced in the administrative process.
There are delays in the Turkish Justice Ministry for which a clear explanation hasn't been provided.
They have no news on his girlfriend as she is a Bulgarian national.
