HOMICIDE - UPDATE
A 19 year old male has been arrested in connection to this case. More information will be released once he has been arraigned.
At approximately 7:45pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Uniformed Harlingen Police Officers responded to the Sunshine Village Apartments (1600 Sam Houston) in reference to multiple calls of shots fired. Upon arrival Officers located two adult male victims with gunshot wounds. Members of the Harlingen Fire Department and EMS responde...d to assist. One adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene and the second adult male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A third adult male victim walked into the hospital minutes later and was treated for an apparent gunshot wound related to this same incident.
Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The names of the victims are being withheld pending further investigation. At this time Detectives are looking for a male subject as a person of interest in this case.
