Donation and Lunch with Kete- Krachi Prison Lifers, Recidivists, first offenders and Remands
The inmates at the Kete Krachi Prison were not exempted from receiving their share of Xmas gifts. I donated an LG LED TV 49"", Drums and also served them with lunch and soft drinks.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the beneficiaries was Adp Williams Kullah, the officer in charge of the Krachi Prison.
... There are currently 366 inmates; 10 remands and 356 convicted prisoners. The Krachi Prison commenced in 1964 and was commissioned in 1965 by the then CPP government. The entire property covers an area of 10.07 acres, out of this the prison covers 4acres, the barracks 0.29acres leaving a bare land 5.78acres. The categories of prisoners are lifers, recidivists, first offenders and remands.
It is important, as citizen's who have the development of the nation at heart, that we do not stigmatize prisoners but rather show them love and acceptance to help them overcome their self-doubt and shame which is detrimental to the growth and development of the individual and nation as a whole.
God bless us all
