The Polish Ministry of Family, Labor Market and Social Policy (Ministerstwo Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej) shared 2019 data on "Statements of hiring a foreigner for work". This is a temporary work visa for citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, that allows employers to hire them for 6 months in a 12-month period. It is a common entryway to Poland as it does not require a labor market test and allows for a relatively easy change of status af...ter 3 months.
Last year, 1.64 million of such statements were filed, of which 1.48 million stated an intent to hire an Ukrainian citizen.
It must be noted, though, that the mere filing of such statement does not mean the foreigner actually came to work. In fact, a few years back a control showed that even over a half of such statements did not result in a foreigner coming to Poland.
The map shows number of statements per 100 workers (either citizens or permanent residents) in counties of Poland.
