How time flies: my Svalbard-season is more than midway already. I just returned to Longyearbyen for a few days of shore-leave after three very different, but equally amazing trips. For the first time I saw a polar bear crossing a crevassed glacier - these bears really do not fear anything, and their feet seem to stick better to the ice than any crampons... After a short view into the abyss the bear simply stepped over this crevasse in one big leap. Incredible animals!
