Thank you so much, everyone, for your support in this little whim of an idea that turned into something much bigger than I anticipated. You inspired me to do a second Bernie and he's not quite done. It has been so heartwarming this past week to receive hit after hit of everyone’s generosity. I’ve received emails and messages of donations from complete strangers and I have appreciated every single one. I have learned about organizations that are doing such wonderful work in ...our communities and this has been a humbling reminder to me of how little effort it takes on our part to add a bit more kindness to our small corners of the world.
I put all the names in a bag and clipped it so the names could not be seen. The names drawn were Ernest Alfred and Robin Tosczak. I don’t know Ernest but I will be in touch if you don't see this first. I do know Robin and everyone who knows Robin will know that she could easily be Bernie’s sidekick.
