There has been a train derailment outside of Loudonville just West of the Village. The train is 135 cars long, 14 of which are currently derailed. Per Ashland County EMA, there is no danger to village residents. Numerous agencies from law enforcement, fire, EMS, EMA and Norfolk Southern Railways are on scene. SR 39 West between Loudonville and Perrysville will be closed indefinitely with detours in place by ODOT. Stay tuned to your local media source for any updates.
