On August 9, 2025, at approximately 1600, Martinsville Police Officers were notified of a male that entered the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department lobby, advising there was an incident in Owen County that was criminal in nature. Martinsville Police Officers identified and detained the juvenile male. At this time, there is no on-going threat to the public. Owen County Sheriff’s Department has taken lead in the investigation. The Martinsville Police Department is fully cooperating with Owen County Detectives, as deemed necessary by the lead investigators.
