First, to make it clear, I am the opposite of an anti-vaccine/conspiracy theorist. I believe in science, data and that vaccines have changed the course of history for the better.
Since I still need to travel a lot, I need to take PCR tests quite often. I think that I did that over 20 times so far. While some people can’t stand it, for me it was never a biggie and never had a problem so far.
A few days ago, I was tested and got a sinus infection the same day. It is pretty cl...ear that it is the direct result of the test as the person performing the test, poked only in my right nostril. I don’t remember if I ever had a sinus infection before but this time I knew it immediately as I got very clear symptoms only a few hours later (pain under/behind the right eye, pressure inside the head, headache...).
So I guess that there is a chance that the nasty stuff picked up in the nose itself, then poked around with in the sinus cavity, can lead to an infection.
This really drains energy - your body signals you to stay in bed. Unfortunately it caught me at a time where I can’t afford to not go to work so it really sucks. I guess that I’ll now reduce traveling and getting PCR tested until this madness is over.
Anybody else had the same experience?
