On Saturday, February, 18th, 2023 Monroe County Deputies were dispatched to 2372 Smith Road in reference to several malnourished dogs on the property.
Deputies arrived on scene where they made contact with several malnourished dogs tied to trees without adequate shelter, food and water. While assessing the poor living conditions of the dogs on the property, Deputies heard barking and scratching from a van that was on the property. Deputies were able to remove two adult dog…s that were living inside the van which was covered in feces and urine. The dogs had no food or water inside the van, and it was not vented.
Deputies attempted to contact the homeowner however, no one answered the door. Deputies observed several dogs inside the residence with very poor living conditions. The house was covered in feces and urine. Inside the residence Deputies located three deceased dogs along with several other dogs living in wire crate kennels together. Also, inside the residence Deputies located a deceased bearded dragon, a cat and a gecko.
Deputies notified Monroe County Animal Control to assist with the removal of the animals. A total of 51 animals were removed from the premises which included five deceased dogs.
Investigators have identified the responsible parties and have taken warrants on three individuals. The three individuals Nicole Woodard age 33 of Forsyth, Georgia, Lisa Stanzek age 56 of Forsyth, Georgia and Tony Adside age 38 of Macon, Georgia are all wanted by our agency in connection to this horrific case.
