Had a day off from work today but was sadly awoken up by some unpleasant and upsetting news from the company's whatsapp group which I found was oddly unusual.
My colleague had informed us that an old male Shih Tzu had been abandoned outside our compound and had included photos of him which I later shared in this space. The dog was lying down motionlessly on a pee pad with little next to him; a red basket and carpet, a purple leash and some kibbles.
This was of great disturb…ance to me especially since it was unclear how long he had been placed there and if it had previously rained during that time period he was left outside. Upon discovering him, the poor little guy was then quickly brought into our front office before being immediately brought to the vet when he was found to be slightly unresponsive.
Despite having a day off from work, I decided to go back to Mutts And Mittens to look at the CCTV, only to find that at approximately 3:48am, a man driving a Black SUV had stopped outside our compound and left the poor Shih Tzu by the pavement.
While the poor little guy has been hospitalised, updates from the vet has shown that there is only a 50-50% chance of the Shih Tzu surviving. Please do continue to pray for him and if anybody knows who might have done this or/and know the dog personally, please do kindly contact us.

With all said, I'm really left speechless. Dogs are Family so please stop throwing them away as if they are soft toys. It's only been my 4th month working here but I've already seen way too many heartbreaking cases.
Perhaps the material aspects of life has gotten the better of us such that some people are now only more concerned about the riches and statuses of life rather than loving these loyal animals that would give up everything for us. Unfortunately, this has become a sad but honest reality😔
