First item: If you have not seen Lonesome Dove, you are not qualified to participate on this page. It's a harsh truth, but that's just the way it is. It doesn't make you a bad person, just culturally deficient.
Second item: Yesterday, the boss made a joke on his personal page, not here, paraphrasing a line from Lonesome Dove.
Third item: Somehow, this is news. One of the Atlanta news stations contacted him for an interview. He declined stating that his remark was lig...ht-hearted and not to be taken seriously. Well, they did a story anyway.
Fourth item: This may shock you, but some people don't have a sense of humor.

Come gather here all of social justice keyboard warriors who feel that the world will not survive if you don't express your righteous indignation. We've created this thread just for you.
Now, for all of you out-of-county keyboard warriors, you have a First Amendment right to express yourself, but the Constitution doesn't require that we actually take you seriously.
For all of the locals, we take you seriously, and we know you'll forthrightly express your opinions as you see fit. You guys are great.
Oh yeah, y'all leave Oconee County, SC, alone. They have nothing to do with this. We know that geography is hard; so, some of you will make mistakes.
