TWO ARRESTED FOR POSTING POSSIBLE SCHOOL THREATS TO KERMAN HIGH.
Just before 9:00 pm this evening Kerman PD began receiving calls and Facebook messages regarding a posted threat of violence that was supposed to occur at Kerman High School tomorrow morning (09/29/2016). Our officers quickly began an investigation and just before 11:00 pm two juveniles were arrested for creating the below pictured account and posting the treats. Both juveniles live within the City of Kerman. Th...ey were both booked into the Juvenile Justice Center on felony charges for making criminal threats.
At this point we believe there is no additional reason for concern. Both juveniles stated they were just trying to do something fun and got the idea from a similar threat that was recently made in Fresno. Kerman PD will have additional officers on duty patrolling the schools tomorrow as an added precaution.
