On the way to work this morning I called my family in Poland and while I was on the phone, a woman sitting opposite me kept very obviously staring at me. When I put the phone down she asked me whether I was Polish and so very proudly I said yes. She then told me that I should be 'scared' and prepared to apply for a visa to be able to stay in HER country.

As a Polish person who has for years felt a sense of belonging to the United Kingdom, who is contributing to scientific research in the country and who believes that staying united is the only right way to go
I am saying: Screw you and your discriminatory views!
