So unofficially I have heard the cause of Kailynn's accident. And I can say without a doubt the official report will state the same.

My SMART, sensible, beautiful young lady was looking at her goddamn fucking phone. She had it laying on the seat, following Google maps, and looked down and DID NOT EVEN SEE THE TRAIN. I have been to the accident site. Had she been paying attention she would be at work today. Not in a fucking urn.

This is not an "omg stupid kids". There are WA...Y more adults than kids driving and I have witnessed more adults texting, talking, looking at their phone. I have been guilty of this. But no more. If I see someone at a light texting, talking, or looking at their phone I will knock on their window. I hope they get pissed at me and tell me to mind my own business and then I can say I wish someone would have minded my 16 year old little girl's business the day she was killed.

There are new laws and stiffer fines but who the fuck cares. When you need a fine scale for repeat offenders that is wrong. I don't know if there will be an end, likely not. But boy will I be figuring out a way to make it known that your call DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER!!! I don't give a shit if it's the Queen of goddamn England calling. You can't talk when you're dead. Plain and simple.

So, stay off your phones. Please. I do not wish the heartache, pain, anger, helplessness, and emptiness that I feel every second of every day on anyone. Put your phone in the backseat. It it rings pull over or wait until you get to your destination. Those on the other end calling, leave a message and don't get pissed that your call wasn't picked up. They will call you back. I can't call Kailynn and she can't call me back. No more hugs, I love yous, kisses. No more birthdays, Christmases. No grad, no wedding, no grandbabies. I have lost my world because of a fucking phone.

I will also add, she did not hear the train whistle because blaring fucking music was more important. Something I did give her shit for. Every day. Her windows were down as she didn't have A/C but her music was likely as usual blaring. I don't officially or unofficially know this but I know my daughter. Her music was most likely louder than the train whistle.
