So do you think this is a good fit for Carowinds? Personally, while I think Carowinds NEEDS a water ride... I think the era of just unthemed steel water rides is over... this concept only works if they cover up that thing with some kind of themed structure, tunnels, dark ride style rooms, etc. Make it more akin to the Timber Mountain Log Ride at Knott's than what Cedar Point attempted with Shoot the Rapids.
Six Flags has previously announced that Carowinds will be adding a record-breaking water ride next year. Based on recent activity and demolition permits filed b...efore the park closed, it's clear that the new attraction will be located where Rip Roarin' Rapids used to be. The question remains: what will this new ride be?
In a survey sent out by the park last year, one of the proposed options was a Super Flume ride by Wild Water West, which seems to be the best fit for the area and makes the most sense.
