本次視訊會議由廖院長、本院研究人員陳建璋、楊安綏、林宜玲等人，與波蘭科學院等5位學研機構代表洽談新冠肺炎研究，雙方針對新冠病毒抗原檢測、血清抗體、疫苗研發、傳染模式等面向交換意見。科技部駐布拉格顏宏偉組長亦以視訊與會。

On April 23, Academia Sinica President James Liao held a video conference with Polish Academy of Sciences President Jerzy Duszyńsk. President Liao stated that the COVID-19 antigen rapid testing technology developed by An-Suei Yang’s laboratory team at AS was submitted to domestic and foreign companies for international commercial licensing on April 16, and that Polish companies are welcome to take part in this process.

President Duszyńsk, who visited Academia Sinica and met with President Liao in 2019, expressed his delight with AS’ completion of rapid testing technology. He also pointed out that collaborative efforts should be enhanced in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, and that he looks forward to sharing research materials and joining forces in the fight against this disease.

During the video conference, views were exchanged on a number of key issues, including COVID-19 antigen detection, serum antibodies, vaccine development, and mode of infection.
