People are so fickle…
This has turnt into a circus
I’m going to put the whole story up so you can all stop making assumptions.
Tuesday night a woman with an accomplice and two children came into Smokin’ Joe’s - Guisborough for something to eat....
Nothing suspicious just normal customers
They had some drinks and their food.
Nothing out of the ordinary
It then came time to pay
At this point it became apparent she nor the person she was with had any cash, the other person was supposedly meant to pay but had forgotten their card.
The woman’s card did not work and she showed us her internet banking wasn’t working either.
At this point the two girls on the front that evening fetched a manager.
Of course by this point everyone’s a bit like wtf !?
The woman was polite throughout and insisted she was very sorry and would be through early the next day to settle her bill!
At this point the staff are left in a scenario where shy of calling the police there and then or locking the doors which is essentially kidnap there is not a lot they could do apart from take a clear picture of the woman on their phone and ask her for her details ( no doubt fake )
Fast forward >>>>
The day passes no contact …no money
We put out a post urging this person to get in contact before said photo goes viral….
They get in contact to say they are still having problems with their bank but intend to pay and will within 48 hours when their banking is back online (at this point I’m 99% sure they are full
Of shish but i thought u know what they’ve reached out, explained the situation a bit maybe life’s made me a sceptic let me give them the benefit of the doubt …..)
Fast forward again >>>>>
This whole saga has now turned into an online circus with conspiracy theory’s and people full of opinions on how to run a business that have never run a business themselves.
THE REALITY IS A SMALL INDEPENDENT BUSINESS GOT BUMPED OUT OF £70 WHEN THERE IS PLACES CLOSING EVERY OTHER DAY but somehow that’s entertainment!!!???

Now this woman has got in contact again has said she won’t pay and has threatened to have our building burnt down by her brothers etc etc
Pity ya brothers couldn’t of just paid ya bill
So needless to say I’m exhausted with the BS and just want my money also I’m a man of my word,
So in summary
f\/ck you PAY ME
have my money by Friday or end up with ya photo EVERYWHERE and no doubt a knock at your door 😁
