An endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtle laid eggs at Galveston Island State Park for the first time in a decade.

After laying eggs, sea turtles do not return to the nest. The eggs were transported to an incubation facility at Padre Island National Seashore, which will improve their chance of survival.
