Thank you to all volunteers who made this event so successful. Bags and bags of litter were lifted today by many volunteering groups. Despite the weather getting colder, 11 community groups put in teams to help clear up our town: community council, the trust, boys brigade, rotary, the lodge, anglers, bailiffs, Galston boys football club, Loudoun Kirk, Loudoun castle and Cessnock castle.
On a lighthearted note thanks to the 2 SNP candidates who helped - only one of whom helped last year. It seems that her candidacy has kindled an interest.....or at least a photo opportunity - taken for her by my husband.....it goes to show that this is a non political political party. Perhaps they will be making contact to request membership forms!!!!
