تعمل البعثة في جبانة العامة الشمالية منذ عام 2010 لدراسة الحالة الإجتماعية والإقتصادية لسكان مدينة تل العمارنة عاصمة مصر خلال عهد الملك آخناتون (أمنحتب الرابع)، والأمراض الشائعة في هذه الفترة.

The Egyptian-British archaeological mission, affiliated with the University of Cambridge and operating in the Tell al-Amarna antiquities area in Minya Governorate, uncovered a burial containing a group of golden jewellery, during excavation work in the Northern Cemetery.

The mission has been working in the Northern Cemetery since 2010. It researches and studies the social and economic status of the city’s residents at Tell al-Amarna, the capital of Egypt during the reign of King Akhenaten (Amenhotep IV).
