*According to Alberta 511 the TCH eastbound has been reopened. Expect delays due to traffic volume and travel slowly!

Westbound lanes are open. The 1A is open in both directions, but due to an accident near Cochrane we recommend taking the 1X to return to the TCH. All overnight motorists have left the warming centre so it has been closed. Crews are trying to clear all of the traffic and plow lanes. We don’t have a firm time for the Province to re-open the highway. If you don't have to travel, stay off of the highways. Local traffic is backing up on Benchlands Trail as people try to gain access to the highway. Residents are asked to stay off the eastbound highway so that it can be cleared and properly opened.
