It’s with mixed emotions I announce my last day at FOX 17. (Totally my choice, so no angry emails to my boss please! He is the best boss I’ve ever had.) I have accepted a job at Morley, Inc. in Saginaw (outside of the TV biz).

Most of you know I married Holly back in July. What you might not know is that for the past six months, we’ve been seeing each other across the state... Back and forth between G.R. and Vassar MI which is in the western “Thumb” area. We’ve decided it bes...t that we be in the same house full-time (image that!), and that it’s best I move east. The commute to GR is about 2 hours, a bit far to consider that as an option.

Oddly enough, I have to work my last day virtually. I found out a couple of days ago that I was exposed to COVID on January 6th. Although I have no symptoms, I obviously can’t come into work until my test results come back negative. So although you will see me on live tonight at 10 & 11 (or possibly a touch later depending on how NFL football impacts programming), I will be at home and not at the weather wall.

West Michigan has been a great place to live, and I can guarantee we will be back frequently to visit. And who knows... We may well end up back here permanently when the time is right for us. I appreciate all of you being so friendly to me in public and inviting me into your homes via FOX 17. It’s truly been a blessing. And I will certainly miss it at the station. This is the best place to work I could possibly imagine. God bless! Romans 8:28.
