As the Philippines sees high, often record-breaking, daily rises in COVID-19, NUJP has been receiving mounting reports of colleagues testing positive for the coronavirus.
While some may be receiving support from their newsrooms and employers, many — especially those outside the capital and those who are freelancers — are not.
...That is why NUJP has revived "Tabang Media (Help for the Media)", a fundraiser and peer support program for fellow media workers struck by the virus.
