We’ve been tracking and planning for #coronavirus #COVID-19 spread for a couple of weeks. The broad impact of this pandemic on every resident of Orange County, including our 312 community partners which include church and school pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens is going to be unprecedented and we have already seen a steep increase in demand for food assistance. We anticipate an ever-increasing need for food among low-income families, seniors on fixed incomes, and individ...uals as businesses and schools close. We also know that limited social gatherings will impact our distribution, which is why we've mobilized our food distribution crisis plan which includes distributing boxed shelf-stable food to our most vulnerable populations: low-income seniors and at-risk children. We have also identified a number of "super pantry" sites that will be able to stay open and distribute food. If you need food, call 2-1-1 for a location near you.

We are working to support our neighbors most in need to the best of our ability, but we need your support in order to purchase 37 truckloads of shelf-stable food, which we will need in the coming weeks to meet demand. Please go to feedoc.org to donate today.
