Happy Martin, luther King junior day, everyone, my name is will, with I'm here, with prager University and candace owens, who is the director of urban engagement for turning point USA. We are behind the scenes shooting her two new videos that she's putting out for prager University are you doing today. I'm doing well happy and okay day where you fly from my flew from New York, oh man yeah that's far warmer here. Definitely is a lot nicer. Yet what a videos are. You shooting today. Fourth. I am doing my favorite, which is um dear celebrities, no one cares. What you think I think it's high time that we told them Exactly what's on our mind, as regular people and I'm also shooting a video about the much talked about black card and what it means to me or what it doesn't mean to me. So what's great that's awesome and so why have you chosen this path to go on for your career um. You know many ways when I think about my life, I feel, like this path almost chose me um particularly might my greatest life and my best friend, is my grandfather and he grew up inside created self um and our dinner stories going up with her at the table were about the okay um and just really having an understanding of how our race got here um And you realize that a lot of people have stepped into the solution and what I like to refer to as the Democratic plantation and they don't understand that there is another way in another path for them other than relying upon the governments to tell them what they can and should be it's like it's a calling that's bigger than me so I just wanna use my voice as much as I can and how you see the Democratic party put down the African American community. I mean you, you got time okay. I think we we can think Them, for slavery, okay okay. You can get thank them before Jim crow laws. We can thank them for the welfare system which people cannot get off now and don't understand how harmful is I think, the biggest thing is just a period of black confidence. The idea that black people are fighting for the right to have government hand outs because they don't get believe in themselves and that they can go out and do these things by themselves with nobody else is help so um yeah tons of things they done yeah they're not told that they can do things by themselves. Are just told that their victim and um All these different things without you know I've been send advice for it. So um. What do you think that Martin luther King would think about the modern day black lives matter movement. Oh come on. I mean we're talking about a group that is actually led to more black deaths we're talking about a group that is focused on statistics that are very like actually non existent focus on the 16 16 on armed black men that are killed by police officers every year and they're not focused on the 800 black babies that were being boarded every hour um so I think that he would feel like they were largely ignorant and I think that it would sadden him to know that we have come so far there's no more systematic racism in place um we have everything in front of us and all we have to do is grab it and and we have people They're trying to reverse us and put us back into the past by scaring us, the solution of racism, um, I think it's telling him deeply so than you think, Martin, luther king's values on race and equality would line up better with a conservative today than with the Democratic party of course, no questions ask it's easiest question to answer um Democratic party is absolutely counter to what his Dream was his Dream was that his children would be judge by the content of their character and not by their skin the Democratic party teaches you to only value your skin to tell you what you should or should not think, because of your skin color, that is the Zack opposite of what he had envisioned for us this sounds more like an okay nightmare and so that goes along with you know the President. We have now donald trump African Americans are told to hate our President, essentially and so what do you. What have you seen donald trump. Do for the African American community that's positive donald trump the greatest gift that he is giving right now is reversing regulations he's trying to get the government outside of individuals home and outside of every single layer. What we do. We wake up in the government controls everything he's out there fighting um a war for us every single day Way to go back and going back to what I spoke about self confidence. It's every single black person should be so grateful that he's here and it's unfortunate that the Democrats have so successfully created the solution and they can't think past. It. I think donald trump came at just the right time. I think we almost lost this country and I'm hoping that I can add my voice and um maybe people can see what he's trying to do for the black community, which is just inspire them to go out and get what's right in front of them he's doing a huge is doing it huge when you see is the next steps for the African American community moving forward so that Can Progressive society um, I think it starts with a Mass exodus from the Democratic party. First and foremost, um and then it also starts with making them believe in themselves and extracting themselves from this government. Narrative. This Democratic government plantation um and yeah. I think those the next step, starting black businesses and showing them that structure, relying on the family and the welfare system. What they did the number one thing that we're facing is breaking down black families incentivized I'm not to marry their spouses um building back black homes and education is The number one thing everyone should be talking about because it's because we miss education that black people are in the predicament. That we are today. Yeah. You have eighty percent of black families. That have only one parent in the household it's terrible. It's going on back see you breaking the more being a black woman conservative. How is that for you ensure that is just tons of heroes. You have to overcome with that. There are a lot of hurdles and it's funny because that's one of the questions that I get the most is how do you deal with it and the truth is, I feel I feel blessed I'm able to be in the circumstance having people saying mean to me mean things to me online doesn't really mean anything in the scope of what we're doing this Human is so much bigger and I inspire other black people to speak out my inbox is absolutely filled with black people that are in school saying, I know something is wrong. I know something is off. I disagree with my parents. Um it's about waking up one person that wakes up another person that wakes up the next person I'm not scared. I feel that this is people say you're so brave this is not brave everyone should have the fearless needs to speak out and say what they believe that's amazing you're doing amazing things you're, an inspiration to tens of people out, then we look Forward to seeing your two videos that are gonna be coming out there, gonna be great great the best the best wheel win with prager. You can't really black engagement at turning point USA. Thank you, thanks guys
