The plan was to cover an entire 9x12 sheet of drawing paper with tiny swirls using only a mechanical pencil. Once I started I folded the sheet into quarters, because 9x12 is a lot of surface area. The new plan, to cover each quarter with a different mark, swirls, short little lines, etc. This is as far as I got. I kept moving around the page so I wouldn't get bored and to give my hand a new position etc. I think the shape is interesting and it wasn't planned at all.

Working on deco pages with new friends. Here is one I made in a deco book with the theme "cut in half". It was a fun afternoon and I think I'm hooked. (I didn't have a 2nd g in my rub on letters, so my deco name will be with one.)

I had limited time... but still got in a simple exercise which proved to be the most interesting so far. Yeah, I know it's only day 5.

Simple straight lines using four different tools. Black China Marker, No. 2 pencil, black Sharpie fine point marker, and a uniball signo White gel pen. Paying attention to how the pathways in my brain connected to each tool was fascinating. More on this later.

Limited supplies and tools.
Jacquard Lumiere paints and a Speedball plastic squeegee.... worked over one with purple ink and a straw; and 2 more with Lyra water soluble 9B graphite pencil and gesso.

Fun with black gesso on tissue paper.

Mark making tools are along the top edge of the work surface... inner part of tape refill, wooden cane/foot of chair cover (?), Kraft mayo lid, stopper from a bottle of port, weird chunky rubber brush, paint brushes (#1 Round and #6 Filbert), kids wooden texture rolling pin for clay.

I didn't make these marks, the glorious sun did. But, I noticed them and grabbed my camera to document them. YAY ME!
