We went here on an excursion from a cruise ship. Not being a fan of beer I was skeptical to do a tasting but was pleasantly surprised. The absolute best was the Iceberg Beer. I went to the gift shop a...nd purchased a six pack but would have gotten more if I didn't have to carry it back to the ship and then home. The next time we go to Quidi Vidi we will probably drive and then stock up on the Iceberg Beer. See More

The beer is fantastic. However, to get the full experience of Quidi Vidi Brewing, you definitely must partake in their brewery tour and tasting. It's a small place so it doesn't take very long. The gi...rl that led our tour and tasting was entertaining, funny and smart. Thanks so much for allowing us "behind the scenes" and giving us a great appreciation for what it means to be made with 25,000 year old iceberg water. An afternoon well spent! See More

Loved this lil place. Amazing beer and was so surprised the amount of beer that is produced and sold out of this place. I’ve been on brewery tours on the west coast and this was the best. Our guide ,... Aaron , did an amazing job telling us all about the history of the beer and history of St. John’s. I left wanting to know more about St. John’s. Packed a few in my suitcase so my hubby could enjoy as well. Good job Quidi Vidi brewery!! See More

We did the tasting for $10 and got an hour long education and entertainment on Newfoundland, St John's, Quidi Vidi and beer making. ABSOLUTELY worth going and the fish and chips out front were stellar too

Best beer ever. The view also pretty wonderful. I love that it's laid back, you buy the beers and serve yourself from the deck. Perfect

Love the place, mostly the Iceberg beer! Would benefit from a sit-down location and food serving. I'm sure there's a way to make this place a comfy place to drink and have a good time!

Do not skip the tour. The beers are excellent, but the tour is just as impressive. Not only will you learn about each beer's distinctive style, you'll learn new information about the history of St.'s with each round. See More

Great beer, period. The iceberg lager, made with iceberg water, is sublime. I tend to like ales but this lager was different. Lovely setting and great place to have been on Canada day. Staff are frien...dly and knowledgeable. See More

Took the Tasting / Brewery Tour, enjoyed it very much. Nick was great, and added in some comical comments along the way.
Only downside was that the brewery wasn't in operation during the tour.

Gamedev NL to 2018 Gamedev NL Game Jam

It's the day before the jam, and a good time to say thanks to our sponsors and partners. HUGE thank yous go out to the
Newfoundland & Labrador Film Development... Corporation and to Quidi Vidi Brewing Co. Their support has made this event far better and dramatically easier to organize.

Our partners-in-crime at Eastern Edge and MUN Computer Science Society deserve accolades and fanfare for their tireless efforts to make sure this event is a success, and in particular for preparing spaces for our jammers to do their thing this weekend. We can't wait to see all those busy people! Don't forget to take some pictures!

The folks at Other Ocean Interactive deserve special mention for both their support of and participation in the event. A special thank you to Ryan Hale for his work as an organizer for the event as well as coach and jammer. You folks must love being exhausted!

Thank you to CELTX and Perfect Minute Games for your contributions, they are very much appreciated and will give our jammers some fun surprises to look forward to!

And last but not least, our partners in organizing this event, Tim Oram from CTS NL, Mark Stacey from Code NL, and Elling Lien, who provided us with our super-fun logo and core visual design for this year's jam posters and media.

Thanks everyone, and we'll see you this weekend!

(Before we start knocking down walls to make way for the new TAP ROOM!)

We're about to go through some big changes at QV. We're going to say goodbye to some old beers, and hello to some new ones. The bar as you know it is about to be destroyed to make way for 16 taps and a full time tap room. Come down for one last kitchen party in the old space!
