Hey, so, maybe you've been curious about that comic book I'm writing, but you weren't ready to make the leap to comics. GOOD NEWS! The first 6 issues will be collected into a paperback book. You can preorder it now at any sort of bookstore or comic shop.

The book is a continuation of an existing Marvel comic. (My favorite!) But you don't have to read the old comic to understand the story that artist Kris Anka and I are telling. Basically, if you like my YA books, there's a good chance you'd like RUNAWAYS.

If you like teens who talk a lot and feel a lot and make a lot of mistakes... THIS COMIC IS FOR YOU.

Also, the first six issues tell a complete story arc. So this paperback collection is a nice way to catch up or dive in.

This Thanksgiving, I'm so thankful for everyone who bought the "Kindred Spirits" ebook. My agent, Christopher Schelling, & I just donated $4,853.50 to the ACLU Foundation. We've donated $9,958.01 total!

"Kindred Spirits" is a gently romantic short story about Star Wars fans and what it means to be a nerd. You can still purchase the ebook -- all profits go to the ACLU Foundation.…/read-kindred-spirits-help-th…

The FCC has moved to end Net Neutrality. This would change the Internet as we know it. It could make online access more like cable access, where you pay for specific packages. Literally no one but telcom companies wants this to happen. Please call your reps! And talk to family and friends who might not realize what's happening. The Internet is where we get everything -- news, television, companionship. It's where we express ourselves and share our work. This would radically change our way of life -- for the worse.

Hi! I'm looking for a Los Angeles or Southern California person, Mexican-American, Spanish-speaking, to occasionally help me with bits of Spanish dialogue for my Marvel comic.

My questions will normally be like -- "How does a cat meow in Spanish? How might you greet your mother in Spanish?"

But if they are more involved, I will happily pay you.

Would that be something you're interested in?

I have a Spanish question for a Mexican-American Spanish speaker. How might a young man greet another young man in Spanish? Like, "Michael! My dude!"

This pretty little short story collection (by me!) is coming out in the UK Nov. 2. Both stories -- "Kindred Spirits" and "Midnights" -- have been published before. But this is a chance to have them both, in hardcover, illustrated by one of my favorite artists, Simini Blocker. If you don't live in the UK, the book is affordable on Book Depository. October, at last!
Callooh! Callay!

I was born in February, but I come alive in October.

October, baptize me with leaves! Swaddle me in corduroy and nurse me with split pea soup.

October, tuck tiny candy bars in my pockets and carve my smile into a thousand pumpkins.

O autumn! O teakettle! O grace!

Merry October!
