At the heart of our work is the conviction that all children seek the same things: to learn, feel valued, and experience success. Ramapo helps young people learn to align their behaviors with their aspirations.

- I hope to visit this summer, I wish I was able to work at Ramapo how...ever, my accident I had hinders me from climbing, hiking, and well basic camping things. But will most deff try to come visit! Always have memories knocking at my Facebook. And or have people call me from when we were little monsters. People still call me I-I (eye eye) always happy to hear when people call me that. Miss the camp songs and the talent shows. عرض المزيد

During Ramapo’s 10th Annual Youth Worker Leadership Conference on March 19th, over 200 high school students came together for a day of activities centered around working with youth of all abilities. One of the day’s highlights included screenings of “The Commute,” presented by Jake Alexander McAfee, a Brooklyn-based director and photographer, and creator of this video below. “The Commute” is a moving short film that takes viewers through the challenges those in wheelchairs face, specifically when navigating public transportation, and inspired a wealth of thoughtful conversations between attendees and Jake. Please take a moment to watch the video and make sure to “share” this on your own page!

This winter our Staff Assistants were hard at work doubling their tree taps and producing more than three times the amount of maple syrup as last year! To get your hands on a jar of your own RamaFare Maple Syrup, head to Samuel's Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck, where you can also pick up RamaFare Jam and "Strawberry Shrub," a special syrup that makes a delicious addition to sparkling soda!

A great group of KCSC parents joined us earlier this month for 'Communicating Without Words.' This workshop, run by Ramapo for Children, taught parents to make ...visual supports to help their children communicate, follow routines, and comprehend directions. By teaching parents skills like these, they are bringing classrooms lessons into the home and helping their children learn and communicate wherever they are!
