Ballots are due Tuesday, Aug 4 by 8pm. With so many positions on the ballot, it’s easy to get confused.
There should be no confusion about State Insurance Commissioner. Anthony Welti is hands down the best candidate for the position.
He’s not only worked in the industry, Anthony Welti has been traveling Washington for 2 years with his family in an RV to meet voters. Welti has raised almost $90,000 a record amount for a lesser known statewide position. Almost all of Welti’s do...nations have come from small donors here in Washington.
Contrast that with the Democrat incumbent, Mike Kreidler, a career politician of 40 years. Most of Kreidler’s donations are either out-of-state or from large corporations and political action committees. At 76 years old, Kreidler will have difficulty finishing a 6th 4-year term as Insurance Commissioner. Krielder will retire and let Gov. Jay Inslee pick the replacement.
The other candidate, Chirayu Patel, is not fit for office. Patel has made insane statements, including claiming that he will earn ever degree from UW while serving in office. Patel says he has 20 years experience selling insurance, yet he’s only 32 years old. On top of all that, Patel says he can decode classified documents, is a direct descendant of Ghengis Khan, and has the abilities of Ronald Reagan and Thomas Jefferson. Absolute bonkers.
A vote for Patel is a vote for Mike Kreidler. Don’t throw away your vote just because Patel has an R by his name. Patel is no Republican and has no chance of beating Mike Kreidler in the November election.
