For the past three years, Red Dirt Defense has enjoyed working in our communities immensely. It has been an incredible run, not without its highs and lows, but a learning experience nonetheless. Due to working differences, we recently experienced quite a change in membership and in the way we operate. Our relationship is still amicable, but with change comes a new responsibility. We firmly believe that operating under the same banner doesn't properly represent that we are now... a different organization, and we feel that continuing activity as Red Dirt Defense would be disingenuous to that change. We are not Red Dirt Defense and we have not been for some time. We are a new group with a fresh zeal for serving our communities in every way we can.
Today we are proud to announce the formation of Scissortail Community Defense. We are a grassroots organization dedicated to standing with the working class, working towards creating safe communities for marginalized peoples, and forming a united front against fascism in the United States.
