The President has posted a message supporting the activities of many... faith-based organizations gathering around the National Mall today. Many of our leaders and millions of citizens recognize that as a nation we cannot abandon our Judeo-Christian roots.
There are many forces with very loud voices that are encouraging us to abandon our faith in God and they particularly ridicule those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. The first amendment of the Constitution guarantees religious freedom and freedom of speech. We cannot let these things become suppressed if we are to maintain a free nation that respects the rights of everyone. Those who try to hurt people who disagree with them are enemies of The American Way. We must courageously oppose hatred and division if we are to maintain liberty and justice for all in a nation that is truly “under God.“ See more

On September 11, 2001 many of our fellow Americans who were first responders gave their lives to save others. These selfless individuals were and are true heroes whose actions make us proud and which we should try to emulate.
It is my sincere hope and prayer that some of those who today find it more to their liking to kill and destroy others, will pause and remember that we are not each other‘s enemies and that it is hatred that resulted in the many lives that were taken by the heinous acts of terrorists. To honor our fellow Americans who gave their lives, let us try to put a little love in our hearts not only on this day but every day.
