Honoring Our Fallen is at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel.

Graveside and military honors including flyover for Cpl Alejandro "Alex" Romero, age 22, from Carson, California, was training in Arizona and sadly perished in... a parachuting accident. Cpl Romero was participating in a Multimission Paracute Course on double-bag static line paracutes. He was a reconnisance scout with Bravo Company, 3rd Recon Battalion, and was in training in Coolidge, Arizona with Marine Corps School of Infantry West from Camp Pendleton.

During his time with the Marines, he earned a number of awards including the National Defense Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

He has been described by family members as a good person and a great Marine who always wanted to be a Marine. He was a happy person and very humble, a great human being.
