Last month, ReWA, along with partner agencies and attorneys providing immigration services, participated the first of two Citizenship Workshop co-sponsored by Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs. Over 180 permanent residents from 24 different countries, speaking 20 different languages received assistance with their naturalization applications. Others received referrals to agencies and attorneys who could help them complete their forms or enroll in English language... classes. About 200 individuals also volunteered their time, their expertise and, as one person said, “their love for their community.”
To those of you who helped get the word out about the October 15th event, volunteered or participated in other ways – THANK YOU!
The next Citizenship Workshop is scheduled for Sunday, December 4th at North Seattle College, 9600 College Way N, Seattle, WA 98103.
To register as an applicant visit http://www.seattle.gov/iandraffairs/NCC or call (206) 386-9090.
